Cal. 12 ga., 2 3/4". S# 431831. Bbl. 20" cyl. bore. In 1965, Winchester developed military versions of the Model 1200 and Model 1400 shotguns. The 1200 trench gun was tested and approved by the U.S. Army, and production contracts were given to Winchester. The model 1200 trench gun is one of the scarcest military trench guns and saw service as recently as 2006 in Iraq and Afghanistan. Matte blue-black finished alloy receiver. The bottom of the receiver below S# is stamped "U.S.". Bbl. is fitted with a hand guard and bayonet lug. The left side of the bayonet lug is marked with part number 11688389/m. Bbl. & hand guard have a parkerized finish. The left side of the bbl. is stamped "U.S." above standard Winchester bbl. markings and the "CYL" choke marking. The walnut beavertail forearm and pistol grip stock with the original plastic buttplate have a dull military finish. The toeline of the stock has a screw-attached sling swivel. CONDITION: near excellent, retaining 97% metal finish, showing only light scratches and handling marks. Wood shows small dents and marks. Bright, near-excellent bore. (23-5532/DS).
