Cal.38 LC. S# 25905. Bbl. 6". Round blade front sight. Fixed rear sight. Matching numbers on grip frame, bbl., cyl. & extractor. Scarce US Navy 1902 S&W revolver with only about 1000 made. Bottom of grip frame marked "U.S.N. (Anchor)" & with "No 1907 J.A.B.". Dull blue refinish with case colored hammer & trigger. Checkered hardwood grips with faint illegible pencil number on right panel & diamond center. CONDITION: grips show a couple small chips, scattered dings, checkering wear & handling marks. Trigger & hammer retain strong amounts of case colors with overall fading to gray & some oxidation. Balance of metal retain strong traces of an old dull possibly arsenal reblue finish with scattered edge wear, blued over pitting & some dings. Action is very sluggish but functional when hand cycled. Bore shows scattered notable patches of pitting. PROVENANCE: From the Lifelong Collection of George Staden S&W Member #3451. (25-41/MJC). CURIO. $800-1200.
