SEMI-AUTO MILITARY RIFLE WITH CMP PAPERWORK. Cal. 7.62X51. S#1464550. Bbl. 24". Barrel is marked on left side "2-S-A-3-43" and "7.62 NATO". Barrel has a bushing in the forward end of the chamber to convert the caliber from 30-06 to 7.62 NATO. The bushing appears to be the second type using a fine thread in an attempt by the arsenal to keep the bushing in place. The receiver retains its additional markings. The white plastic spacer is installed. The data sheet states that the rear of the receiver has been annealed. T105E1 aperture rear sight. Blade front sight with protective ears. All major parts markings are "SA" except the milled trigger guard is "WRA". Walnut stock set. Buttstock is marked only with tiny "crossed cannons" at the end of grip. UNNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: Certificate of Authenticity signed by Gary Anderson dated 2004. CMP data sheet, listing markings and supplying condition data. Also included is CMP manual, green web sling, 8rd clip and open bolt indicator. Matching cardboard shipping box. CONDITION: stock set shows wear with considerable loss of finish from scraping and sanding with staining and handling marks. Metal retains 70% of its original Parkerization with light wear.
