Cal. 30-40 Krag. S# 23195. Bbl. 22". Bbl. is marked w/ "P" proof at bottom. Front sight has been replaced by a model 1903 Springfield assembly. Model 1892 rear sight w/ push button slide release graduated to 1,900 yards. Handguard w/ two spring steel clips. Receiver has been drilled & tapped on the left side w/ two holes filled w/ plug screws. Carbine style buttstock. Forend has been replaced from the middle of the grasping grooves forward. Bbl. channel has added bedding compound. Trap buttplate w/ curved toe. CONDITION: stock has hobbyist gunsmith finish w/ added finish, leaving no markings visible. 1" crack is present behind saddle bar & crack in front of saddle bar extending to mag. recess. Metal has traces of blue turning gray & patina w/ scattered spots of very light oxidation. Bright shiny bore w/ lightly worn lands.
