BOLT ACTION MILITARY RIFLE. Cal. 30/40 Krag. S# 108706. Bbl. 30". Model 1896 rear sight graduated to 1800 yards. Blade front sight. Walnut stock set. Stock is marked over trigger guard w/ boxed "JSA" & "189?". Marked under grip w/ encircled script "P" & upper case "N" assembly mark. Smooth trap buttplate. Unmarked brown leather sling w/ single brass hook. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: buttplate contains 3 section cleaning rod & nickel plated oiler. CONDITION: stock has moderately worn original finish w/ light staining & scattered handling marks throughout. Metal has traces of blue turning overall gray & patina w/ wear & handling marks. Extractor retains moderate amount of original fire blue. Fair worn bore w/ area of frosting & fine pitting ahead of chamber. (01-23977/RW). ANTIQUE. $700-900.
