RIFLE. Cal. 30-06. S# 1264589. Bbl. 24". Receiver manufactured in 1924. Barrel replaced with one marked "SA/ flaming bomb/ 6-39". Ladder rear sight w/ volley notch graduated to 2850 yards. Blade front sight with stamped cover. Receiver w/o" Hatcher hole". Bolt is marked"R". All milled furniture including fine checkered trap buttplate. Walnut stock set. Buttstock has faint boxed marking and partial boxed Defense Acceptance "eagle". Marked "Y" in cutoff recess. Stock has two recoil bolts. Brown leather Model 1907 sling Marked "R-S" and "G.M.S." UNNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: nickel plated oiler in butt. CONDITION: stock set has had a professional cleaning leaving the markings faint. Small missing chip on right side of butt at toe. Metal retains 70% of its thinning arsenal rework finish. Bore is shiny with worn lands. (24-5772/RW). CURIO. $600-800.
