7 1/4" double edged bright blade. 12 1/4" overall. Manufactured exclusively by Camillus Cutlery Co. this attractive knife was reputed to be issued to Marine Raider units during WW2. The blade is etched on the left side with U.S.M.C. in a scroll and is also marked "CAMILLUS / CUTLERY / CO. / CAMILLUS / NY. The alloy grip has cast integral checkering and has a dull grey appearance. Brown leather scabbard is of the first type with 10 staples at the throat and metal plates riveted near the tip on both sides. UNATACHED ACCESSORIES Padded zippered case. CONDITION: blade has small areas of spotty discoloration. Grip shows little or no wear. Sheath has light wear, scuffing and verdigris around rivets. (02-23684/RW). NON GUN. $ 1,000-1,500.
