RIFLE. Cal. 30-06. S# 1034145. Bbl. 26". Bbl. is marked behind front sight "E / flaming bomb / 12-18". Ladder aperture rear sight graduated to 1,600 yards. Blade front sight w/ protective ears. Bolt assembly is marked w/ a "flaming bomb" & "D" on top of the bolt handle & marked underneath w/ "E". Sight ladder marked "E". Walnut stock set. Stock is marked "R" at forend tip. Stock is marked additionally "AAO" which indicates an Augusta Arsenal overhaul & is additionally marked on the left side in cheek area w/ boxed "RA" which indicates a test & check at Raritan Arsenal, boxed "P" proof & "eagle head" acceptance mark under grip. WWII vintage green web sling. Sling has staining, oxidation & loose threads. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: plastic oiler in butt. CONDITION: stock set has worn original finish w/ numerous handling marks. Metal retains a good portion of its arsenal rework parkerized finish w/ wear, staining & handling marks. Bore has lightly worn lands & a slightly frosted appearance.
