RIFLE. Cal. 30-06. S# 363048. Bbl. 26". Barrel marked behind front sight "W" "flaming bomb" and "6-18". Aperture rear sight graduated to 1600 meters. Blade front sight with protective ears. Very good example of a Winchester mfg. model 1917 rifle with correct W marked parts. Parts include receiver, bolt, cocking piece, rear sight, front sight base and forend tip. Receiver is marked on left rail with "flaming bomb" and has partial eagle acceptance mark on top of left rail. Walnut stock set. Stock is marked under grip with eagle head acceptance stamp and "S". Buttstock is marked on left side in cheek area "RA" indicating a test and check at Raritan Arsenal. Buttstock is marked on right side with "C 36" rack number. Smooth trap buttplate. Kerr "NOBUCKL" web sling. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: nickel plated oiler in butt. CONDITION: stock set is worn showing considerable use with staining and scattered handling marks throughout.
