Cal. 30-06. S# 496560. Bbl. 26". Barrel is marked behind front sight "W / flaming bomb / 11-18". All major parts markings except safety are marked "W". Safety marked "E". Ladder rear sight graduated to 1,600 yards. Blade front sight with protective ears. Receiver rail has eagle head "27" on top and "flaming bomb" on left side. Walnut stock set. Stock has three overhaul marks on the left side. The boxed "H" of the Hawaii Ordnance Depot. Boxed "SAA" from San Antonio Arsenal and the enigmatic boxed "3 GM-K". Boxed "P" proof under grip. CONDITION: stock set has a worn arsenal rework finish leaving notable fine sanding and handling marks. Metal retains 75% of its original blue finish with light wear. Bore is shiny with sharp lands, but has a degree of light pitting just ahead of the throat area. (26-1618/RW). CURIO. $400-600.
