MILITARY RIFLE. Cal. 30-06. S# 364574. Bbl. 26". Bbl. is marked behind the front sight "W (flaming bomb) 6-18." Ladder aperture rear sight graduated to 1600 yds. Blade front sight with protective ears. Receiver, bbl., bolt, and sight ladder are marked "W." Receiver is marked on the left rail with two eagle head acceptance marks and a flaming bomb. Unmarked replacement walnut stock set. Recoil bolt head has been polished bright. Replacement Model 1907-type tan leather sling. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: nickel-plated oiler in the butt. CONDITION: stock set has light wear with scattered small handling marks. Rear handguard has notably more wear with a darker, stained appearance. Buttstock has a dark stain below the bolt stop. Metal has arsenal overhaul parkerized finish, with thinning and light wear. Very good, shiny bore. (24-5774/RW). CURIO. $700-1,000.
