ASSOCIATED EQUIPMENT.
This fine grouping consists of a M-41 field jacket with a stripe for a Staff Sgt. made of felt. The uniform is equipped with a standard green cotton web belt having a bayonet attached along with a clip pouch containing 1 clip for a 30 Cal. carbine, 2 grenades, 1 canteen with cover and a first aid kit in a canvas pouch. Attached to the belt are over-the-shoulder slings that support a khaki canvas backpack that contains a drawstring clothing bag stenciled “WALTER ASONEVICH”. The group also contains a front seam swivel bale M1 helmet with correct period liner. The number 116 is painted on the back of the helmet first with light blue and then with black paint. The helmet has a well-worn “M.P.” armband stuffed into the crown. CONDITION: jacket shows light wear overall. Web equipment likewise shows light wear. Grenades are dewat. Helmet generally shows light overall wear with minor areas of oxidation. (02-16911 /BF). $700-1,000.
