A fine selection of patches, pins, photographs & ephemera from the 46th Co Special Forces. The 46th Company - Thailand was a small, elite unit that conducted missions during the conflict in Indochina, deployed October, 1966. This lot includes a Bancroft green beret size 7 3/4 w/ US Special Forces Insignia "DE OPPRESSO LIBER" Military Crest Pin over 46th Special Forces Co Thailand Airborne Ranger beret flash patch. Unmarked fighting knife w/ 4 grooved, stacked leather handle, steel guard & pommel. Blade length 6" w/ 10.5" OAL. Several patches including the blue & yellow United States Army Special Forces Class A Patch (sword w/ 3 lightning bolts), & 2 Royal Thai Airborne wings. Also included is an M60 blast igniter dated 5-60. The backdrop which is a woodland camoflauge BDU shirt. 3 unidentified photos. Currently enclosed in wood & glass shadow box measuring 16.75"x21"x4" when closed. PROVENANCE: From the Lifelong Collection of Glen E. Mattox. (02-18621/JZ). $300-500.
