Cal. 308. S# 2508178. Bbl. 23.25" over 5" flash hider. Early, original Metric Fabrique Nationale Herstal FN FAL. This is 1 of the more desirable examples of this rifle that has been referred to as "the right arm of the free world". Blued finish on exposed metal surfaces. Black plastic buttstock w/ factory rubber recoil pad. Plastic pistol grip. 5.75" black painted, wood forend. Protected post front sight along w/ rear peep sight adj. in elevation from 200m to 600m. Upper receiver left side stamped "308 MATCH". Right side markings include: "Fabique Nationale Herstal / Made in Belgium / R Secaucus NJ / Gunsouth Inc. Trussville AL". S# resides on right side. Top cover has 7" A.R.M.S. Weaver style scope base. This extremely popular & effective rifle has a carry handle, adj. gas system, as well as sling swivels front & rear. Utilizes metric style mags. CONDITION: All aspects indicate very little use. Finish coverage on exposed metal surfaces are complete & consistent, w/ little sign of use. Buttstock & forend are matching black w/ very few tiny impressions. Bright bore w/ strong rifling. Fire control mechanism appears to function correctly when cycled by hand.
