FOR MODEL 1903, MODEL 1903A3 AND 22 CALIBER TRAINING RIFLES. 1) Model 1903 S Type Straight Grip Walnut Stock w/ High Hump Handguard. Stock w/ single recoil bolt marked on left side w/ boxed "JFC" & marked under grip w/ encircled script "P" proof. Stock includes the following milled furniture: fine checkered trap buttplate, butt swivel, middle band w/ swivel, retaining spring, upper band w/ stacking swivel, handguard w/ two retaining clips. CONDITION: stock has area of professionally replaced wood on the right at the receiver bridge to fill an earlier receiver sight installation. The wood otherwise carries its original finish w/ modest wear & scattered handling marks. Metal is worn, but retains traces of original blue. 2) Model 1903 National Match C Type Stock. Stock is marked on the left side w/ a faint boxed "S.A. / S.P.G.". The belly of the stock retains traces of the National Match drawing number. Grip has partial encircled "P" proof. Cutoff recess has "S", "6" & "8". All milled furniture consisting of coarse checkered trap buttplate, butt swivel, lower band w/ swivel & retaining spring, upper band w/ stacking swivel. Unmarked handguard has two retaining clips. CONDITION: stock has been professionally refinished, leaving a very good appearance. Furniture has a worn dark parkerized finish. 3) New Zealand marked Model 1903 S Type Straight Grip Stock w/ Handguard. Stock is marked on the left side of the butt "N.Z.A.D / 14734". Acceptance mark is not visible. Faint encircled "P" proof under grip. Milled furniture consists of smooth trap buttplate & butt swivel. Low profile handguard w/ two retaining clips. CONDITION: stock has extensive wear, staining & handling marks commensurate w/ long & hard service. Area around markings has been slightly cleaned to render them more visible. 4) Model 1903 Springfield S Type Straight Grip Stock. Walnut stock is marked on the left side "WJS", faint Augusta Arsenal overhaul mark. Stock is marked w/ both script & block-letter "P" proofs under grip. Number "209" is enhanced in white near buttplate tang. Walnut handguard w/ two clips. Milled furniture includes smooth trap buttplate, butt swivel, middle band w/ swivel & retaining spring. Upper band is not present. CONDITION: stock set has extensive wear, staining & marks throughout. Metal has turned gray & patina. 5) Model 1903A1 National Match C Type Pistol Grip Stock. Marked only w/ "S" & "O" in cutoff recess. Has drawing number "1836" at belly. Stock is equipped w/ two recoil bolts. Smooth milled buttplate w/ trap. Milled butt swivel. Stamped lower band w/ milled retaining spring. No other furniture is present. CONDITION: stock has lightly worn original finish w/ scattered handling marks & light staining. Scattered tiny spots of light paint appear on the finish. Several notable dents in belly area. Worn metal, turning gray. 6) Model 1903A3 Pistol Grip Stock. Marked w/ keystone "K" in the cutoff recess. Stock has the heavier later profile pistol grip & two recoil bolts. CONDITION: stock has additional cut at front of receiver ring to facilitate installation of Model 1903A3 handguard ring. Original finish w/ staining & light wear. 7) Model 1903A3 Pistol Grip Walnut Stock. Replacement stock is unmarked, made w/ two recoil bolts. Stamped band spring is present. Rear guard screw bushing has been installed. Stock has lightly worn finish w/ scattered tiny handling marks. 8) U.S. Springfield Armory 22 Training Rifle Stock. Walnut stock w/ grasping grooves. No cutoff recess. Inletted for receiver sight. Deeply checkered & milled buttplate w/o trap. Milled butt swivel; no barrel band. Stock marked w/ boxed "SA" in cheek area. CONDITION: stock has been refinished in inletted areas w/ small handling marks. 9) Springfield 22 Training Rifle Stock. Walnut stock is marked only w/ tiny "C" at end of pistol grip. Stock has cutoff recess & is cut for receiver sight. Coarse checkered non-trap buttplate. Rear swivel & barrel band w/ front swivel are present. CONDITION: professional refinish w/ a slight loss of wood in inletted areas. 10) Springfield 22 Training Rifle Stock. Semi-finished walnut stock. Stock is semi-inletted & unfinished. CONDITION: stock has light handling wear. 11) Nine Model 1903 Springfield Handguards. Handguards are in very-good to unissued condition. All have two steel retaining clips, two have drawing number "D28179". (02-24590-11/RW). NON-GUN. $800-1,200.
