Cal. 45 ACP. S# SAP452804. Bbl. 5.75". The RPB Industries M10, often referred to as the MAC 10, was originally offered in semi-auto as an open bolt system just like its predecessor, the M10 SMG. The BATF determined that the open bolt semi-autos met the criteria of a machine gun under the "readily restorable" clause and banned future manufacture, grandfathering those that were assembled on or before June 21, 1982, under ATF ruling 82-8. Like everything else, the Federal Government tells citizens they cannot have it; interest in the early originals immediately skyrocketed, and they have been considered highly prized collectibles for over 40 years now. Barrel threaded with traditional factory threads. Protected post front post and fixed rear peep sights. Rotating cocking knob locks the action closed as an additional safety. Primary safety, located on the front right side of the trigger, is currently absent. MAGS: one steel 30 rd. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: brown factory cardboard box, cleaning rod, and mag. loading tool. CONDITION: orignal finish displays some light use in the form of gentle drag marks. Bolt appears polished instead of the typical matte black finish. Safety typically located inside the trigger guard is not present and must be replaced. Bright bore with strong rifling. PROVENANCE: from the lifelong collection of Terrence McCarty. (24-189/JZ). MODERN. $600-900.
