BARREL FLINTLOCK POCKET PISTOL. Cal. 37. NSN. Deeply turned 2 1/2" cannon bbl. has wrench lug on bottom. Small boxlock type action is very nicely filed but is not maker marked or proofed with serpentine round body cock on right side has unbridled friction frizzen and feather spring that curves under pan. Trigger has early type curl to rear at tip. Trigger guard has fleur de lis finial. Metal parts have some feather and scroll engraving. Bulbous small bag grip is of burl. CONDITION: good. Metal parts show considerable cleaning and are presently gray patina over some pitting. Stock has old oil finish and remnants of raised carving. Bore is pitted. Mechanically good.
