This dagger measures 16 1/4" overall with a plain 11 1/2" blade that is slightly eliptical in cross section. The dagger has a simple but robust brass crossguard. The artistically carved bone hilt/grip shows a well articulated hand grasping the shaft of the grip from the crossguard upwards. The grip is secured by 6 brass pins. No sheath. CONDITION: the blade has an overall dark patina and the crossguard shows a mellow dark mustard patina. The hilt/grip has yellowed with age and has some chipping in the pommel area.
