BOLT ACTION CARBINE.Cal. 8x60 R. S# 2. Bbl. 20". Blade front sight. Ladder rear sight graduated to 1500m. Matching numbers on bbl. & rear sight. Turned down bolt parts & front band are mismatched. 1886 Kropatschek made by Steyr. Hardwood stock set with bottom mounted sling swivels. Ramrod present. CONDITION: sanded stock shows small crack behind action, some chipping at toe, a couple other small chips, some dings, dents & handling marks. Metal has a cleaned silvery-gray appearance with scattered oxidation, pitting, traces of finish, some scratches & handling marks. Safety & mag cutoff not engaging but action is otherwise functional when hand cycled. Bore shows scattered pitting but strong rifling. (01-28938/MJC). ANTIQUE. $400-600.
