SEMI AUTO PISTOL. Cal. 11.25mm (45 ACP). S# 5725. Mfg. 1925 as Norway's standard issue sidearm; s# range 5701-7600. Slide has Monogram of King Haakon & Kongsberg Crest on left side of slide along with Erling Schold inspector's stamp & 1924 date on right side of slide. Matching numbered 5" barrel, slide, trigger, slide lock, safety lock, hammer, ejector, grip safety, mainspring housing, recoil spring guide, recoil spring plug, barrel bushing & hammer strut. Matching ".723" on mag. catch, firing pin, firing pin plate, disconnector & sear. Extractor not numbered. Two piece birch grips with left panel scratched on back "JRN 1924". MAGS: 1 - 7 rd. with lanyard; mag. appears heavily cleaned showing prior pitting turning gray. CONDITION: very fine retaining approx. 90% original blue finish. Frame shows scattered light handling marks. Mainspring housing & corresponding areas of frame has cleaning with finish being a gray patina. Triggerguard bow has areas of pitting & loss of finish. Slide shows scattered light marks & spots of wear. Balance of markings appear to have added faded white paint. Good grips show flattened diamonds & small gouges. Barrels shows good fading blue with cycling wear. Bore shows strong rifling with light pitting forward of chamber. (24-6850/MD). CURIO. $1,500-2,500.
