POCKET REVOLVER, FACTORY IVORY GRIPS. Cal. 31. S# 212846. Standard configuration, 5" octagonal barrel with one line New York address, London proofs on the left side of barrel housing and on cylinder. "E" stamped under each serial number on major parts. Revolver manufactured in 1862 during height of American Civil War. English oak casing, vacant round brass plaque on the lid, blue baize lining, compartmented for revolver, 2-cavity "Colts Patent" bullet mold, Dixon bag flask, Original sealed pack of five cartridges, large Ely cap tin, combination tool, bullets, and functional key. CONDITION, very fine overall, all original and matching. Barrel retains over 60% bright London factory blue, chipped not worn. Cylinder retains about 80% factory blue, strong case colors on frame, hammer, and loading assembly. Grip frame retains about 75% silver plate, we patinaed ivory grips well fit, sharp edges, with two hairlines. Casing and accessories are good. Mechanically fine, bright shiny bore.
