PERCUSSION REVOLVER. Cal. 31. S# 189162. Bbl. 4" oct. 1 Line New York address. 5 Shot cyl. w/ rolled stagecoach holdup scene. Made at the beginning of the Civil War in 1861. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: cased lined in burgundy velvet & baize lined Colt mahogany casing compartmentalized for revolver, flask, mold & cap tin. CONDITION: very fine overall. Bbl. retains about 70% bright factory blue w/ balance gray/plum. Cyl. retains strong traces of bright blue w/ crisp full rolled stagecoach holdup scene. All 5 safety pins functional. Frame, loading arm & hammer retain about 60% case color overall. Grip frame retains over 90% original silver & grips retain over 95% bright factory varnish w/ light edge wear. Mechanically crisp w/ crisp bright bore. Casing is fine though missing lock escutcheon, baize lining has staining, soiling & scuffs were items rub. “Colts Patent” eagle & stars flask is fine retaining most of its original darkened varnish w/ fire blued spring. 2 Cavity “Colts Patent” brass mold has small “R” stamped & is very good overall w/ scattered small nicks & dings, light mustard patina.
