Cal. 44. S# 198001. Bbl. 8” round w/ New York address. Round rebated six shot cyl. w/ naval engagement scene roll engraving. Blue & case colored finish w/ brass trigger guard. 1 Piece walnut grips. Bbl., frame, grip straps & cyl. have matching numbers. Wedge is unmarked. Mfg. 1872. CONDITION: very fine. Bbl. retains 70% lightly faded blue showing spotted finish loss & carry wear. Cyl. retains very good scene having 40% remaining blue on rebated area. Frame & loading lever retain over 50% lightly faded case colors. Brass grip strap shows evidence of cleaning w/ faint traces of silver in protected areas. Grips have worn & peeling finish showing handling marks & edge wear. Sound mechanics.
