Cal. 12 Ga. 2-1/2". S# E350. The 28-1/2" monobloc barrels are fitted with slightly swamped narrow matted game rib. Barrel flats are stamped with French nitro proofs, steel type and "EPREUVE SURCHARGEE". A sling loop is soldered to bottom rib. Case hardened sliding breech action with obturating discs and toggling side safety is engraved with about 80% coverage rose and scroll. Fences are exceptionally well carved with looping acanthus in high relief. Two piece stock (post 1910) is of very nicely veined and fiddle figured European walnut with butt portion measuring 14-1/4" over a later zinc buttplate. Forpiece has inlet horn tip. Both sections are nicely checkered in point pattern. MEASUREMENTS: BBLS: Bore Diameter: L .722. R .722. Restriction: L .022 (Mod). R .008 (IC). Wall thickness: L .028. R .022. STOCK: DAH: 2-5/8". DAC: 1-7/8"+. CAST: off about 1/4". LOP: 14-1/4". WEIGHT: 6 lb. 11 oz. CONDITION: fine. Barrels retaining about 75% original blue. Action with about 65% original case hardening color. Stocks with old oil refinish over many nicks and bumps especially visible on forpiece. Buttplate a replacement. Checkering shows considerable wear. Bores are bright and shiny but shows some dent removal in right barrel about 10" behind muzzle. Mechanically good. (24-3982/MGM). CURIO. $1,000-1,500.
