Cal. 9mm. S# MC02963. Bbl. 19.8". The original Uzi SMG is an open bolt, select fire mechanism that is light years ahead of its technology when it comes to use. It can be utilized in its collapsed or folded, concealable configuration, yet takes only moments to extend the rear stock. The Uzi bbl. only appears to be a couple inches in length which greatly minimizes its signature for use in tight quarters, but because of the ingenious design, it actually extends back inside of the bolt giving the operator much more rifled bbl. to increase hit probability immensely. Those that are familiar w/ the 1911 family of firearms will appreciate the grip safety integrated into the mechanism. This particular example is the semiautomatic, closed bolt, Mini-Uzi Carbine. Black plastic furniture. Bottom, front mounted bayonet lug. Sling swivels on left side of receiver & stock. Elevation adj. protected post front sight. Dual aperture rear sight. Left side markings include "F-S" above safety/selector. Left rear receiver markings "UZI MINI CARBINE/ 9mm PARA" & serial number. Receiver markings behind the pistol grip include "ACTION ARMS LTD. / PHILA PA / IMI ISRAEL MAGS: (2 total) 1 steel 25 rd., 1 steel 32 rd. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: Black plastic factory case, spare 19.8" barrel (2 total), faux short display barrel & owners manual. CONDITION: All aspects indicate very little use, if any. Original finish coverage is complete & consistent w/ no sign of prior use. Stock locks tightly in both extended & folded positions. Bores are bright w/ strong rifling. Spare barrel still demonstrates evidence of factory grease. Fire control mechanism appears to function correctly when cycled by hand. PROVENANCE: Lifelong Collection of Terrence McCarty. (24-311/JZ). MODERN. $1,200-1,800.
