PISTOL. Cal. 7.65mm. S# 927179. Bbl. 3 1/4". Model HSc semi-automatic pistol mfg. by Mauser during World War II. The slide exhibits the Mauser banner logo, followed by markings stipulating Mauser's manufacture information, as well as the model and cal. designations. Right side of frame exhibits an Eagle/N commercial nitro proof on the trigger guard web. Metal components exhibit a blued finish with the frame being mounted with 2 piece checkered wood grips. Left grip is lightly hand-scribed, appearing to read "D. Reilerer" with the right grip appearing to be lightly hand-scribed "Baon/ Artz" and "Dr. Reilerer". All numbers are matching and include the frame, slide, and bbl. MAGS: 1 - 8 rd. CONDITION: very good overall with metal components retaining the vast majority of their original factory blue finish, exhibiting some spots of mild edge wear and some spots of extremely light surface oxidation. Mirror bore, exhibits well defined rifling throughout. Grips show some smoothing and some marks from storage and handling, but are otherwise good overall. Mag. floorplate tip is slightly bent upwards towards the front grip strap. A very nice example of a wartime production Mauser HSc pistol. (23-5555/MLW). CURIO. $300-500.
