WITH FAUX SUPPRESSOR, ONE OF ONLY 3 OR 4 MADE. Cal. 45ACP. S# 32987. Bbl. 20". The DeLisle Commando Carbine was designed by William G. De Lisle as a modified S.M.L.E. (Short Magazine Lee-Enfield Rifle). It was rechambered from .303 British to 45ACP and fitted w/ a then, state of the art sound suppressed barrel as a truly silent option. There were very few of the original guns made, w/ production numbers typically ranging from 130-170 total units depending on the source of information used. Starting in the mid 1990s, Valkyrie Arms manufactured approximately 70 of these to fill the void in the collector market. Even rarer, they offered one w/ a faux suppressor for people living in non-NFA states, w/ a total production run of those being only 3 or 4. That is what this example is. It is a Valkyrie Arms DeLisle Commando Carbine w/ a faux suppressor. The top of the tube, above the 20" barrel is marked: "THE DELISLE COMMANDO CARBINE / SN. 34 of 167". Below the barrel is marked "VALKYRIE ARMS LTD. / OLYMPIA, WA USA / NONSUPPRESSED MOD II". The barrel & tube have a dark black finish. It has a protected blade front sight & a graduated tangent rear sight, marked at 50, 100, 150 & 200 meters. The receiver carries its own serial number. Dark, hardwood shoulder stock & forend w/ brass butt plate & trap door. Front & rear sling swivels. MAGS: 1 steel 7 rd. CONDITION: Tube finish complete & consistent w/ only a few gentle drag lines visible under close inspection. Receiver finish has some areas of thinning, primarily coinciding w/ mechanical intervention. The ejector appears to have broken & will need to be repaired or replaced. Bore is bright w/ strong rifling. Fire control mechanism appears to function correctly when cycled by hand. (25-2179/JZ). MODERN. $2,000-4,000.
