GRADE PUMP SHOTGUN. Cal. 410, 3". S# 21156. Bbl. 26" plain w/ fixed full choke & steel bead. Bottom of receiver is stamped "trap" below the S#. Short field style slide handle w/ single diamond checkering on both sides. Capped pistol grip stock of nicely grained walnut w/ original buttplate & diamond checkering. The custom silver finished steel grip cap is engraved "To JUDD / AUG,'53 / From / MOM & DAD". Only 231 trap grade guns were made from 1934 until the end of 1939. The field style trap grades are distinguished from the more common skeet style by their short forearms. Mfg. 1936. CONDITION: very fine. Retains over 97% original blue showing slide wear. Very good original wood finish showing scattered scratches & marks. Sound mechanics. Bright near excellent bore. PROVENANCE: The estate collection of Don "Duck" Combs. (24-2487/DS).
