Right lock plate depicts a pointing setter w/ pheasants. Left lock plate shows 2 pointers w/ quail. Pointer w/ a bird in his mouth adorns the floorplate & another portrait of a pointer is found on the trigger guard bow. Balance of the action & forearm iron are covered w/ fine arabesque scroll. Features include double under lug & third bide locking, hand detachable locks, cocking indicators, hinged front trigger & ejectors. Trigger guard bow has a rolled right edge. Splinter forearm & straight hand stock of fine European walnut w/ point pattern hand checkering having tear drop points. Bbl. & stock have sling swivels. LOP: 14-1/8’’ over a solid red pad. DAC: 1-3/8’’. DAH: 2-1/8’’. Neutral cast. Bore diameter: RT .730, LT .726. Choke constriction: RT cyl. bore, LT .020. Minimum wall thickness: RT .028, LT .030. WEIGHT: 6 lbs, 13 ozs. Bbl. date code indicates 1945 mfg. CONDITION: bbls. retain 80% lightly worn blue showing spots of freckling. Action has a cleaned gray appearance. Stock has an added wood repair at the peak of the comb. Wood has good refinish showing small marks. Action exhibits slight looseness & is off face.
