SHOTGUN. Cal. 12 Ga. S# 2479. Sidelock action has double under lug & cross bolt locking. Gold marked pin type cocking indicators. Action has 50% coverage of fine English style rose & scroll engraving that extends to forearm iron w/ highlights at breech end of bbls. Double triggers & extractors. Splinter forearm w/ Anson release & straight hand stock of fancy European walnut w/ point pattern hand checkering. Stock & both bbls. have sling swivels. Toeline of stock has German silver oval nameplate. LOP: 14’’ to checkered butt. DAC: 1-1/2’’. DAH: 2-3/4’’. Stock has a very slight cast on. (Bbl. No. 1) 27-5/8’’ w/ concave solid rib. 2-3/4’’ chambers. Bore diameter: RT .724, LT .728. Choke constriction: RT cyl. bore, LT .043. Minimum wall thickness: RT .022, LT .020. (Bbl. No. 2) Apparently added, breech end of rib has gold crown & Victor Sarasqueta trademark. Bore diameter: RT .726, LT .731. Choke constriction: RT .032, LT .045. Minimum wall thickness: RT .034, LT .027. WEIGHT: w/ 27-5/8’’ bbls. is 6 lbs, 4 ozs. Mfg. in Eibar, Spain prior to 1927. CONDITION: action has faded to gray showing scattered very light pitting. Stock & forearm show heavy wear w/ numerous dents & marks having oil darkening. (Bbl. No. 1) 70% dull faded blue showing spots of light pitting. Bores are heavily pitted. Right bbl. has evidence of raised dent 7-3/4’’ from muzzle. Left bbl. is bulged in the choke area. (Bbl. No. 2) 80% lightly worn blue. Bores show some light pitting.
