HEAVY GAME OR PIGEON GUN WITH EXTRA BARRELS. Cal. 12 ga. 2 3/4". S# 123598. Two sets of bbls., original set measuring 30" are of chopperlump construction and are fitted with slightly raised matted game rib. Tops are engraved with maker's name and address. Bbl. flats are stamped with 1957 Spanish Nitro proofs for 2 3/4" chambers. "1" is stamped on front lump. Second set of 25 5/8" chopperlump bbls. are unengraved on tops and have matching rib. Bbl. flats are stamped with 1983 Spanish Nitro proofs. "2" is stamped on front lump. Case hardened sidelock action with automatic safety, third fastener, bushed strikers, gold line tumbler end cocking indicators, and double triggers (front articulated) is engraved in normal model 10 style. Action and lockplates exhibit near full coverage British style rose and scroll while fences are deeply relief carved with acorns and oakleaves. Maker's name is on bottom of action. Single beaded trigger guard is engraved with matching scroll. Attractively streaked and somewhat crotch figured straight grip European walnut buttstock measures 13 7/8" over old "Holland, London" pad. Stock features drop points, point patttern checkering and sling loop. Matching splinter ejector forend serves both bbl. sets. MEASUREMENTS: BBL. SET 1: Bore Diameter: R .725", L .726". WEIGHT: 6 lb. 15 oz. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: 2nd bbl. set. CONDITION: fine as refinished, most likely by factory at time of fitting the number "2" bbls. Original bbls. retaining nearly all of a good quality reblue. Rib matting soft and edges somewhat rounded. Newer bbls. retain nearly all their original blue. Action retains about 70% new case hardening color. Lockplates retain nearly all of their color. Gold on left tumbler end mostly missing. Stocks retain nearly all of a new oil refinish, checkering recut. Bores are bright and shiny. Old bbls. with evidence of professional dent repair about 7" behind muzzles. Bbl. set 2 has a minor small dent about 4" from muzzle. Action is tight. Barrels are on face. Mechanically good. (22-4481/MGM). CURIO. $1,000-1,500.
