GUN. Cal. 12 Ga., 2 3/4". S# 194286 (1968). Bbls. 27 3/4" chopperlump, fitted w/ matted game rib, maker's name & address are engraved on tops. Breech ends are engraved w/ 1 1/4" triangles of scroll. Case hardened sidelock action features automatic safety, hidden third fastener, bushed strikers, raised rib tumbler end cocking indicators & chrome plated double triggers (front articulated). Action is engraved in usual grade 8 style w/ full coverage of British rose & scroll. Maker's name & address appear on bottom. Fences are deep relief engraved w/ ducks & some scroll. Blued top lever has scroll pierced thumbpiece. Trigger guard is scroll engraved. Lightly figured European walnut straight grip buttstock measures 14 1/4" over red pad & features drop points & point pattern checkering. The individual gold letters "A" & "I" are inlet on toeline. Matching beavertail ejector forend has Anson release. MEASUREMENTS: BBLS: Bore Diameter: R .728", L .728". Restriction: R .008:" (IC), L .037" (FULL). Min. Wall Thickness: R .029", L .030". STOCK: DAH: 2 1/2". DAC: 1 1/2". LOP: 14 1/4". CAST: neutral. WEIGHT: 6 lb. 14 oz. CONDITION: exceptionally fine, close to "as new" w/ little evidence of ever having been fired. Metal surfaces retaining nearly all original blue & case hardening color w/ perhaps just a hint of high edge wear. There are only 1 or 2 of the smallest imperfections in wood.
