CLASSIC AMERICAN DOLLS STAMPS AND A SHEET OF THE LETTIE LANE PAPER FAMILY. These dolls, as is the vast majority of the items in this sale, are unreserved! Late 19th, mid-20th century. 1) The Victorian bisque doll with kid leather body. Her head with reddish brown wavy hair, deep blue sleepy eyes, open mouth, dimpled chin, and with pink cheeks. She is dressed in an original lavender velvet and silk ensemble with floral accents and a complimentary velvet hat with black ribbon and cranberry colored feathers. There is a number on the back of her head that we can not decipher. SIZE: 28" l. CONDITION: head is very good overall. Her clothing is in good condition but needs cleaning. There is damage to the right hand and right leg is detached. Straw stuffing needs to be replaced. Head needs re-stringing. 2) Tiny Tears "Ame Character Doll" by Ideal in diaper. Circa 1960. The doll features blue sleepy eyes and mouth with opening for bottle. The doll is accompanied by a doll's trunk with label "Cass Toys, Athol, MA". SIZE: 12" l. CONDITION: fair to good with some pigment loss at the back of head. Trunk with in-use wear. 3) Uncut sheet of classical American Dolls 32¢ U.S. stamps. Appears to be 1939 Edition of 15 stamps. Housed in a molded frame under glass. SIZE: 7" x 6 1/2"; overall 13 12" x 13". CONDITION: very good overall. 4) The Lettie Lane paper family. Framed single sheet titled "Lettie's Sister's Wedding: Some of the Wedding Guests" by Sheila Young. Framed under glass. SIZE: 15 1/2" x 10 1/2" sheet sight. CONDITION: very good.
