Cal. 22 LR. S# 011049. Matching numbered 26' barrel having Parker Hale FS21 front globe sight (circle on post disk) and ladder style rear sight plus unmarked (Parker Hale style) tang sight with target disk. Mfg. early 1900's (also by BSA); based on Cadet model (used for military training in Australia) as training or target rifle. Straight gripped checkered walnut buttstock and matching forend. Swivel eyes (like Winchester, but larger) on forend (2) and buttstock (1) plus smooth metal buttplate and brass sight disk container attached to forend. Numerous British "BV" and "BP" proofs. CONDITION: good overall appearance with older refinish. Receiver has a slight plum hue and maker's mark is faint. Barrel has spotty appearance of cleaned peppery prior oxidation plus similar appearance to trigger guard and lever; more pronounced condition on buttplate. Varnish on stock is good as applied over light handling marks; good checkering. Bore is bright and shiny with appearance of slight wear.
