CAPTURE PAPERS. Cal. 7.65 mm (32 ACP). S# 787967. Bbl. 3 1/4" w/ crown "N" proof; also on slide. Mfg. 1933 (1930-1940) w/ mottled brown Walther banner 3 panel checkered grip. Matching numbered slide, push button mag. release & lanyard loop at butt. MAGS: 2 Walther banner only 7 rd. w/ flat push button bases; good to very good w/ some peppery oxidation mainly on floorplate & fair to good w/ light oxidation mainly on floorplate. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: 2 capture certificates w/ identical information yet clearly not copies; likely one for Army records & other for James A. Cooper (recipient of pistol) as authorized by Wechench Schuek (best interpretation of cursive signature) 1st Lieutenant (difficult cursive) in 409th Infantry Company H. Shoulder patch (like new, unused or current issue) of 409th along w/ internet history indicating 103rd Cactus Division, 2nd Infantry, Heavy Weapons of Company H. Printed material also indicates various training locations & summarization of ETO activity. CONDITION: very good overall appearance w/ very faint marks plus peppery oxidation on bottom edge of slide & portion of frame; left side forward of trigger pivot. Square on, grip appears very good w/ faint crack around grip screw on left about 11 o'clock. Noticeable separation at top & bottom to extent safety will not clear grip. Near excellent bore.
