WITH HOLSTER. Cal. 9mm Para. S# 8923a. Bbl 4 7/8". Standard configuration P.38 manufactured at the Walther arsenal in 1943. The left side of the slide is stamped with Walther's manufacturer code and the year of manufacture "ac/ 43", with the right side bearing an Eagle/ 359 waffenamt on either side of an eagle firing proof. Metal components are blued, with the frame being mounted with 2 piece grooved pressed resin grips. Matching numbers are present on the frame, slide, and barrel. Locking block is unnumbered and unproofed. MAGS: 2 8 rnd. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: brown leather soft shell holster stamped "gxy 1943" above an Eagle/WaA706 on the rear, indicating manufacture by Gebruder Klinge Lederwaren-Fabrik. Holster contains 1 spare magazine. CONDITION: metal components retain the majority of their original arsenal blue finish, exhibiting edge wear and some areas of mild wear and thinning that show through to gray patina overall. Brilliant mirror bore, exhibiting strong rifling throughout. Grips show some scattered marks from handling and storage, but are otherwise very good overall. Holster remains malleable, exhibiting some scattered handling marks, areas of age related cracking, as well as some spots of mild crazing. (23-1000/MLW). CURIO. $500-800.
