WITH HOLSTER. Cal. 9x19mm. S# 3093g. Bbl. 4 7/8". P.38 semi-automatic pistol, mfg. by Walther in 1943. Left sides of the slide exhibit standard markings, including Walther's mfg. code and the 2-digit year of mfg. "ac/ 43". Metal components have been chrome plated at one time, with most markings remaining legible and mostly intact. Frame is mounted with 2-piece brown-pressed resin grips. All numbers are matching and include the frame, slide, bbl., and locking block. MAGS: 2 blued 8-rd. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: black leather holster (appearing to be for a Browning Hi-Power pistol), marked with a mostly illegible mfg. marking on the interior, with a legible part of the marking reading "WINDELEN". CONDITION: metal components retain the vast majority of their reapplied chrome-plated finish, exhibiting a few spots of flaking, some superficial handling marks, as well as a few spots of light pitting present beneath the finish. Bore is bright as refinished, exhibiting moderate pitting while retaining fair rifling throughout. Grips are very good overall, exhibiting some superficial marks from handling and storage. Holster remains malleable, exhibiting light age-related cracking and some spots of light crazing, but otherwise remains sturdy and serviceable. (24-2055/MLW). CURIO. $400-600.
