WITH HOLSTER. Cal. 9x19mm Parabellum. S# 6818c. Bbl. 4 7/8". Standard configuration P.38 semi-automatic pistol mfg. by Walther in 1944. Left side of slide is marked "P.38", followed by the S#, Walther's "ac" code, and the 2-digit year of mfg. "44". Right side of slide is marked with an Eagle/359 acceptance proof on either side of an eagle firing proof. Metal components exhibit a blue finish overall. Frame is mounted with 2-piece grooved brown pressed resin grips. All numbers are matching and include the frame, slide, bbl., and locking block. MAGS: 2 8-rd. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: unmarked period brown leather holster. CONDITION: metal components retain the majority of their original arsenal blue finish, exhibiting some scattered areas of mild wear and thinning, as well as a few scattered spot of light surface oxidation. Mirror bore, exhibiting grease and well defined rifling throughout. Grips show some minor marks from handling and storage, but otherwise remain sturdy and serviceable. Holster exhibits scattered marks from handling and storage, with 2 small tears present on the left side of the closure flap. (24-848/MLW). CURIO. $600-800.
