CAPTURE PAPERS & PROVENANCE. Cal. 7.65mm (32 ACP). S# 204720 P. Bbl. 3 3/4". Mfg. 1940 w/ blued finish, matching numbered slide, eagle N proofs & border checkered black plastic Walther banner grips. MAGS: 1 Very good matching numbered (also has "2") matte finished 8-round w/ Walther banner & "PP 7, 65m/m" plus black plastic finger extension. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: 2 piece pebble grained compartmentalized box numbered to another pistol. Capture papers dated 9/22/45 plus 23 Oct 45 dated customs declaration & 14 Sept 45 certificate of captured non explosive enemy equipment. Handwritten pages of notebook giving further history of William H. Malone stating born 1910 in CA, enlisted at Leavenworth in 1942, served 500 days, earned six battle stars, arrived in Boston Nov 24 1945 & to home in Olathe, KS on Dec 1st. Malone further states in these notes that the pistol came new from the factory & has not fired; the notes are signed by Malone at age 83. CONDITION: very good to excellent appearance w/ very minimal thinning on high points. Action w/ abundance of grease. Near excellent bore and grips. (22-3066/NW). CURIO. $700-1,000.
