BAYONET & REPRODUCTION SHOULDER STOCK. Cal. 45 ACP. S# 331684. Bbl. 6". Mark VI double action revolver mfg. by Webley in 1918. Left side of the frame is marked "WEBLEY/ MARK VI/ PATENTS/ 1918", with "MARK VI" marked on the left side of the top strap. Various British proofs are present overall. Frame is mounted with 2-piece checkered brown vulcanite grips and features a lanyard swivel and ring on the butt. Blade front sight, with U-notch rear sight on bbl. latch. Rear face of cyl. has been shaved to accommodate .45 ACP ammunition in moon clips. Matching numbers are present on the frame, bbl., and cyl. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: steel bayonet with brass handle, as well as a scabbard. Pistol is also accompanied by a reproduction wood shoulder stock with brass right grip panel. CONDITION: metal components retain traces of their arsenal blue finish, with the balance exhibiting a mellow gray/brown patina overall, with scattered spots of age related discoloration. Near mirror bore, exhibiting some very light pitting, while retaining well defined rifling throughout. Proper manual mechanics. Grips show smoothing and scattered marks from handling and storage, but otherwise remain sturdy and serviceable. Bayonet blade exhibits a mottled gray patina with light to mild pitting. Handle shows a mellow patina and scattered handling marks. Scabbard exhibits a gray patina, with areas of moderate dark surface oxidation. Reproduction stock shows some scattered handling marks and impressions, but otherwise presents nicely. (25-3557/MLW). CURIO. $1,000-2,000.
