SEMI-AUTOMATIC PISTOL. Cal. 32 Auto. S# 68832. Bbl. 3 1/2". Model 1908 Metropolitan Police semi-automatic pistol mfg. by Webley & Scott in 1911. Left side of the slide is marked with Webley & Scott's mfg. information and the cal. designation above "1911," followed by a Crown/M.P. police proof, as well as Webley's winged bullet logo. Metal components exhibit a lustrous blue finish overall, save for the trigger and safety lever, which are polished in-the-white. Frame is mounted with 2-piece checkered vulcanite grips. Half-moon blade front sight with U-notch rear sight. All serialized parts are matching and include the frame, trigger, slide, and bbl. Mag. is absent. CONDITION: metal components retain large amounts of their original factory blue finish, exhibiting scattered areas of wear, thinning, oxidation, and pitting overall. Very bright bore, exhibiting moderate pitting towards the breech while retaining well-defined rifling throughout. Grips show scattered marks from handling and storage but otherwise remain sturdy and serviceable. (24-4050/MLW). CURIO. $300-500.
