Cal. 32. S# 2776. This early Webley solid frame double action revolver has 2 1/2" ovate barrel. Unfluted cylinder indexes with ratchets at rear. A loading gate is on left side of frame. Cylinder removes in normal RIC manner. One piece checkered walnut grips have engraved steel cap without lanyard ring. Barrel, cylinder and action are blued, small parts are bright polish. Webley winged bullet logo is on left side of frame. S# is at rear of barrel on left. Revolver is engraved with about 70% coverage varying size scroll. Top of frame is engraved with retailer "E. M. Reilly & Co." "315 Oxford St. London". UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: revolver is housed in its original oak case with key lock closure and circular brass medallion on top. Interior is lined in royal blue velvet and an E. M. Reilly label is in lid. Case contains large empty Japanned tin marked with E. M. Reilly info, a small pewter oil bottle, brass and steel cleaning rod and a key that does not operate lock. CONDITION: fine to very fine. Metal parts retaining 60-70% original blue, most loss appears to be from flaking. Grips and checkering are fine. Bore is shiny with some scattered pitting. Mechanically good. Case is also fine, retaining most of its varnish on exterior, brass is darkened. Interior cloth shows rubs and compressions with some areas worn through in bottom. Label is good considerably foxed.
