SCOPE, AUXILLARY REAR SIGHT, CASE AND OTHER ACCESSORIES. Cal. 20 Ga., 3"/7x57R S# 40-4616 (1981). The 23 3/4" demi-bloc barrels are fitted with full length matted rib. Center portion is cut away leaving quarter rib and front ramp. Rear portion is fitted with folding leaf "U" notch rear sight and claw scope bases. Front ramp holds gold bead. Central portion of rib is engraved "LUDWIG BROVNIK-MADE IN AUSTRIA". Bottoms of Bohler Rasant barrels are stamped with Ferlach proofs for 20 Ga., 3" chambers and 7x57R rifle cartridge. A sling loop is soldered to bottom barrel. Case hardened scallop back blitz O/U double Kirsten action is fitted with non-automatic safety and double triggers (front set). Action is engraved with near full coverage varying size shaded scroll. Blued top lever and trigger guard are also scroll engraved. Steel capped pistol grip buttstock of well marbled and nicely fiddle figured European walnut measures 13 3/4" over steel buttplate. Stock features English style shadow line right hand cheekpiece, chin strap transition to grip, point pattern checkering and sling loop on toeline. Steel grip cap is engraved "J.H. BLATZ LYME, NH." Matching slim one piece forend has Deeley release. Gun is fitted with Zeiss Diavari-Z 1.5-6X rail scope with duplex retical in claw mounts. MEASUREMENTS: BBLS: Bore Diameter: Top .618. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: black painted aluminum case lined in black foam has cut outs for action, barrels and scope and it contains: a custom made ghost ring apature sight that fits rear claw base, carrying strap, snap caps and a film canister containing spare main springs, top lever spring, strikers with springs and two front sights. CONDITION: very fine retaining about 90% original finish on metal and wood. Action showing some silvering from hand wear. Wood with oil added as maintenance with some scattered marks. Checkering shows areas of re-cutting. Bores are bright and shiny. Action is tight. Mechanically good. Scope has marks and scuffs on exterior lacquer, optically clear. Case is good. (23-4845/MGM).
