SET SHOTGUN BY D. SCHULNIGG WITH CASE. Cal.12 Ga. 2-3/4". S# 2201. Both sets of 27-3/4" barrels with narrow ventilated ribs are engraved with maker's name along with "Sport & Waffen, Salzburg" on unmatted portion of ribs. Bottom barrels are stamped with 1950 Ferlach nitro proofs for 2-3/4" chambers. One set of barrels is engraved "Custom Made for Francis H. Rison". The other is engraved "Skeet" and with previous information. Coin finished blitz double Kirsten O/U action with double under bites features automatic safety, bushed strikers and double triggers. Action is engraved with well cut open scroll. Lockplates are engraved with more scroll framing game scenes. A pair of setters are pointing and honoring three pheasant on left sideplate. Right plate depicts a trio of mallards erupting from marsh with two swimming ducks at front. Steel trigger guard is engraved with scroll on bow; S# on tang. Very nicely veined and figured European walnut straight grip buttstock measures 14-1/2" over thin red rifle pad. Extensive borderless point pattern checkering is at grip. Matching three piece ejector forend with Deeley release serves both barrel sets. MEASUREMENTS: BBLS: Bore Skeet marked barrels: Diameter: O .723. U .723. Restriction: O .022 (mod). UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: gun and both barrel sets are housed in brown leather case with glued leather corners; lined in green felt. Case contains a pair of plastic snap caps. CONDITION: very good to fine as refinished. Both barrel sets retaining nearly all of a re-black. Skeet set has a deeper blue. Action shows cleaning to gray brown overall. Engraving remains good. Stocks with older oil refinish have a few marks. Checkering correctly re-cut. All bores are bright and shiny. Action is tight. Mechanically good. Case is close to "new". (25-4525/MGM).
