Walnut forearm & straight grip stock w/ crescent steel trapdoor buttplate. Total estimated production of 15,000 mfg. 1879-1886. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: 4 piece cleaning rod held in stock. CONDITION: over 90% lightly worn blue showing scattered spots of light corrosion & sm. scratches. Forearm cap & buttplate are fading to a mottled gray/brown. Good original wood finish shows scattered scratches & sm. marks. Sound mechanics. Bright bore retains sharp rifling. PROVENANCE: Estate Collection of Kenneth Horn (Grandson of JC Higgins).
