NSN. 55.5” overall, 40” oct bbl. signed “W H FOLGER”, “LEMAN” percussion lock, originally flint. 30 German silver insets, one missing would have been 31. 4-piece patch box, double set triggers. William H. Folger born in Winchester, Virginia (1813-1886) moving to Barnesville, Ohio about 1835 where he was known for flashy inlaid rifles and with 31 inlays, this is a flashy survivor. CONDITION: appears original and “as found”, well patinaed, hairline crack opposite lock and in forestock, mechanically sound, good rifled bore. (01-21539/JS). ANTIQUE. $2,000-3,000.
