Cal. 50. NSN. Bbl. 9 1/2". 15 1/2" Overall. Well made, smooth bore dueling pistol. 9 1/2" Patent breech oct. bbl. engraved in script “Philadelphia”. Lock marked “ROBERTSON”. William Robertson is listed as a gunsmith in PA from 1841-1859. His cased sets & duelers are well known. CONDITION: good to very good overall. Appears original & complete w/ loose soldered ramrod rib. Philadelphia marking on bbl. is partially visible as text before Philadelphia has been purposely removed. Lock markings have good engraving. Stock is sound, well fit w/ worn checkering. Mechanically fine, including set trigger. Smooth pitted bore. PROVENANCE: The Estate Collection of Gary Parietti. (01-19320/JS). ANTIQUE. $600-900.
