SRC. Cal. 44 HRF. S# 77359. Bbl. 20". Mag. band fastened front sight w/ non-adj. carbine leaf rear sight. Brass receiver has saddle ring on left side. Generous hand engraving features geometric figures & wide scroll w/ punch dot backgrounds. Band fastened carbine forearm & straight grip stock w/ brass trapdoor rifle buttplate. Left side of stock is branded "2-1". S# indicates 1871 mfg. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: 3 piece cleaning rod held in stock compartment. CONDITION: bbl. & mag. tube show a pleasing brown patina w/ scattered light marks. Action has an applied dark patina. Stocks show heavy wear w/ dents & handling marks. Stock has small crack at toe. Forearm is chipped at the tip. Smoothly functioning action. Dark bore has largely intact rifling w/ spots of pitting. (01-26412/DS). ANTIQUE. $3,000-4,500.
