Cal. 44 HRF. S# 15682 (found on left inside of lower tang). Bbl. 24" octagon. Blade front sight with graduated leaf rear sight. Top flat of bbl. is marked "HENRY'S PATENT - OCT. 16, 1860/ KING'S PATENT - MARCH 29, 1866". Brass action featuring the King's patent side loading gate. Full length mag. Walnut forearm and straight grip stock with crescent brass buttplate. Toeline of stock has inletted style sling swivel, front sling swivel is mounted on the brass forearm cap. S# indicates 1868 mfg. CONDITION: bbl. and mag. tube blue have faded to mottled brown showing spotted corrosion. Brass parts have acquired an uncleaned pleasing dark patina showing spots of dark tarnish, most prevalent on the left side. Wood has added finish over scratches, marks, and dents. Sound mechanics.
