ACTION RIFLE. Cal. 44 WCF. S# 10125. Bbl. 24" octagon of heavyweight measuring 13/16" across flats. Sporting front sight, blade is replaced by a piece of rock. Replacement full buckhorn elevator adj. strap type rear sight. Action features a large oval thumb-print mortised dust cover, bushed firing pin, early style lever latch & set trigger. Full length mag. Walnut forearm & straight grip stock w/ crescent steel buttplate. Mfg. 1875. WEIGHT: 8 lbs, 11 oz. CONDITION: metal finish has faded to a mottled gray brown. Sanded stocks have a dark weathered appearance w/ dents, scratches & marks. Stock has a small crack extending from right side of action. Forearm is chipped along bbl. channel.
